You can book a Reassurance Scan from 16 weeks onwards, whenever you would like some extra reassurance or another opportunity to see your baby between your routine NHS appointments.

During your scan, we'll carry out a baby wellbeing check, visualise and listen to your baby's heartbeat, and show you your baby's position and movements. You'll also receive 2 black & white printed images to take home.

No. Our Reassurance Scan is a private, non-diagnostic scan and does not replace your routine NHS maternity care or medical appointments.

Yes. You'll have the opportunity to listen to your baby's heartbeat during your appointment.

If you notice a reduction or change in your baby's usual movements, please contact your maternity unit or midwife for advice. A private Reassurance Scan should not be used instead of assessment by your maternity care team.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. If advised when booking, please drink water beforehand so your bladder is comfortably full for your scan.
